  • Monday through Thursday: 8 am to 8 pm
  • Friday:  8 am to 4:30 pm
  • Saturday: 9 am to 1 pm

How to Use This Guide

Each tab on the guide will link you to resources, an assignment, or a page covering the best resources for a specific Nursing class.  While we have links to both library subscription sources and open websites, the search box on this guide will only bring you to the links we have-it will not search the sources themselves.

What You Can Find at the Library (And Where to Find It)

Ground Floor: 

  • Group Study Rooms:  There are three rooms (equipped with chairs, table, and a computer).  Sign up to use them at the Reference Office 
  • Nickerson Archive

1st Floor

  • Front Desk:
    • Check out, pick up and return books and Interlibrary Loans
    • Borrow Reserve books (textbooks and supplemental books for your papers)
    • get your library barcode
    • get an ID (after 4pm, Monday-Thursday)
    • borrow headphones, flash drives, scissors, staplers, hole punchers
  • Instructional Media Services: Check out DVD and VHS tapes on Reserve for class use; borrow Graphing Calculators and other equipment
  • Photocopier:  across from the Front Desk, the photocopier takes bills and change and charges 10 cents a page. Scan to a flash drive (you can borrow ours) for free!
  • Reference Room:
    • Computers and Printers
    • Print Journals and Microfilms (some great nursing journals are only available in print!)
    • Reference books (Library Use Only)
    • Reference Office:  Librarians available for research help
    • Tim Gerolami's Office (Room 112, on the other side of the room from the Reference Office)-stop in any time the door is open, or make an appointment!

2nd Floor:

  • Circulating Books, Call Numbers A-J
  • Library Classroom
  • Quiet Study Area

3rd Floor: 

  •  Circulating Books, Call Numbers K-Z (Find Science under Q and Medicine under R)
  • Quiet Study Area

Your Library Barcode

To request and borrow materials or to use our databases, you will need a Wilkens Library barcode.  Bring your student ID to the front desk to register for you barcode today!
