What is Digital Course Reserves?

  • The Wilkens Library is working to expand our Course Reserves to incorporate digital copies of required course text when available and affordable through our eBook vendor.
  • The eBooks are in our eBook collection, eBook Central.
  • Students and Faculty use their My4Cs account to access the eBooks.
  • Depending on availability and cost, the eBooks are available as either 1, 2 or 3 Users at a time or Unlimited Users.
  • Some eBook licenses allow students to print or download a limited number of chapters/pages.

How can I get a digital copy of my textbook?

  • The following is a sample of publishers that will not allow libraries to purchase eBook versions of their publications:
    •    Pearson
    •    Cengage
    •    Oxford University Press

In addition, texts that are often available can be cost prohibitive. However, the Library has still been able to provide digital copies of some texts.  If you would like to know if a Digital Course Reserve eBook is possible for a text please contact Lisa Gagnon.
