Where are the books?

The library uses a system of call numbers to organize our books.  You can browse the following sections for books about U.S. history (on the second floor of the Wilkens Library):

  • E=United States History (General)
  • F=United States History (State and Local)

Search the Library Catalog (CLAMS) now:

  • Change the location to Cape Cod Community College to search only the Wilkens Library collection
  • The default search is a keyword search which will look for the words you enter, as you enter them, anywhere in the system-i.e. author, title, subject, table of contents (if provided), etc.
  • When you find an item you want, try looking at the full record and clicking on the subject links to find more books in the same area
  • Try a subject search for your topic.
  • You can request books in other CLAMS library by clicking on request and entering your last name, library barcode, and student ID#.
